Description

Some weeks ago I made "Epsilon Eridani III", link below. thumb_1645945.jpg I thought it could be interesting to show you up close the city that before was just visible in the distance. I made a few simple changes (it isn't much fun just moving the camera around... :-)). This city is a fantastic free model called Atlantis, by Chris Diston. I cant remember from where I downloaded it (scifimeshes maybe?). The dome is my own (I found that fresnel functions are good for force fields). The starfield is part from "Postcards from the Rim", by Monsoon. Thanks for watching!

Ooooooh. Brilliant and scientifically accurate as well. The Epsilon Eridani system is proported to be rather dusty and full of...well...gunk that would, most likely, leave any probably planets heavily cratered, or at least densely cratered with lots of little impacts, since much of what we know of the systems seems to point to small stuff rather than big rocks zipping around. Okay, back to the image. It's a fantastic one, well imagined and beautifully presented! Great, great work!
