excellent closeup and beautiful capture of its colors, great work !!!
I like the bright colors of the neck ! A very nice portrait !
An excellent capture, defiantly a duck of some type
Maybe a "Malloose" heehee....yep, kinda looks like there's been some hanky panky goin' on in the flock because this sure looks like a hybrid ...good one Richard ! ~ Hugs ~
Sorry I am no mallard expert but sure is a pretty one! reminds me of winter some reason,...maybe because some people hunt in the winter [not me] hehe. fantastic capture Richard.
A very fantastic and nice capture Richard! Great!!!
Superbe composition.
Amazing capture. What colors.
Definitely a duck!! Lovely!
Beautiful colours! Must have been a very relaxed duck to let you walk right up to it! Well done :D
Great light reflecting on the colorful feathers of this duck/goose Richard. xx
Really nice shot! Very well done!
Beautiful colors, fantastic photo! I have never seen a bird like this, I can’t help you.

Beautiful colors and duck.Fantastic photo.
Great shot!!
I'm afraid you will never know Richard, because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...Awesome capture
strange colours and markings richard looks to be a bit of both :o)..excellent capture mate mick
It's a peacock mallard;-) What lovely feathers--I don't think I have ever seen a mallard with the green feathers so far down before!
Nice close up! Really grabs the feathers well. Ducks often get mixed up in colors because of natural mixed breeding. The color of a mallard's beak often varies in color, widely, and sometimes feathers are altered. Great shot.
What a great capture the green really shines through!
marvelous colors and detail.
A fantastic portrait of this male Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos). No goose has got green feathers. Lovely taken!!!
Well Richard you got me working this morning as I have went to galleries featuring both and after looking for a long time I gotta go with Mallard due to as stated above the green feathers. Great job on this one and fun for everyone to figure it out.
Well, whatever it is the photo is awesome. Beautiful work, Richard.
Beautiful capture, excellent well done.
wow... loo a thos colour splashes.. amazing... nice name :D
I think maybe a bit of cross breeding here Richard, but I don't know what with, most definitely some duck in there. Beautiful iridescent green, as others have said I have never seen it go so low down before, the beak also looks a bit of a mix. Excellent capture though, whatever it is. Bravo!!!!!
