Description

In the 1970s 1980s there was a great store in Atlanta called Peaches Records and Tapes. In front of the store they had a sidewalk made of celebrity signatures with hand prints in concrete. This was a promo for Dolly Parton I just happened upon while record shopping. The outfit she was wearing was a very bright, almost day glow green with butterfly theme going of course. The concrete was a dark red. This photo was taken in late 1976 or early 1977. Im not really sure anymore, lol.

Very original and funny snapshot! More recently, Disneyland from Paris made the same experiment. It is surprising that you did this shot in BW, because people currently did color slides and prints at least since the sixties, not to mention even earlier Agfacolor and Kodachrome 1 (10 ISO…) slides. But I admit that I did also the same until 72-74 because of easiness of film and print processing at home. Now I have still kept the enlarger (a 2 1/4 x 2 3/4 Krokus 3 Color from Meopta, with a brand new color head), I tried to sell it for a couple of dollars some weeks ago but without any success. I really enjoy your photos (and pencil drawings)! Do post more! 5+!

Bravo for this "archive-style" image! The funniest is to see how the two people in the left "help" the artist not to fall! In France, there is a wall which shows the same hand prints. It is always something which attracts the tourists. On December 16th, our son, Remail (also a Renderosity artist), had a little boy, Nicolas. For Christmas, Nicolas made us his first gift: the print of his hand and foot in plaster! Pure happiness!
