Description

Having read the story on the Sword in the Stone in multiple accounts I thought I combine the church yard and the wood into a sort of arched ruins. I know that when young Wart removes the sword he supposedly doesn't know the import of what he does but it had to be cool just to SEE a sword sticking out of a stone. This is the first concept to finish render I've done in quite some time (Even 'The Wizzer' was started awhile before it was ever completed.)...sometimes I hate Bryce sometimes I love it. I was pleased with the foliage in this one, living and dead, but not entirely with the lighting on young Arthur. So this is really an exercise in layers, effects and lighting. Comments appreciated.

I see you put Merlin in the background, almost blending him with the background, watching young Wart as he is about to walk over to the stone. Too bad young Wart doesn't read the writings on the stone. I'm sure he would have left things well enough alone. chuckle This is great rendering!

Well done indeed...an image is only as good as what it conveys to the viewer and this tells the story.. ...
