Description

Just a quick test of Keith's new lekku set. Even tried it with the nub ears. Doesn't look too bad. So, give some opinions. Thanks.

Looks dammed good in my opinion, I'm sorry to say I haven't had a chance to try them out yet myself. Are the wraps another prop/figure or are they a displacement map? Also, there seems to be a bit of a difference in the resolution between the lekku skin and the head skin. Perhaps lowering the x and y scale on the texture node on the lekku would help? Finally, in terms of blending the lekku to the head here I'm curious as to how you did it. Did you blur the division, clone stamp at half strength or is this how it rendered?

Wraps are a displacement map. There does seem to be a resolution difference in the two textures. Going to have to play to overcome that. The blend is Photoshop, exactly as you described, except I use 10% strength on the clone stamp after blurring the line.

I love the expression. Just out of curiosity what did you use to wrap around the lekku? It really adds to the piece.

The wrap is some creative displacement mapping.
