I was born in 1950. And I agree with gateman and your words of definition, they meant the same then too. I think it's called the PC revolution. Political Correctness is just another phrase for loss of freedom of speech and thought control. Sigh... :os This is an outstanding piece. You could get lost in the travels of exploring this delightful work. Bunny

Definitely outside the box! Sorry..couldn't resist.. I was born exactly 7 months to the day, after you...and I've no clue. Language, for me, has always been this beautifully expansive thing...now, at least in terms of my own perception, it feels somehow stunted.. and filled with common phrases widely used which seem to barely conceal a sense of intolerance, and overt ridicule. But, maybe, our parents thought the same? I'm with Bob...think I'll just stick with the holy sh--! This is absolutely magnificent XD work ! :)

Language is a strange beast, constantly mutating, never staying the same for too long. Even Santa's Ho Ho Ho has taken on a new twist, LOL! Love the image .. So much to look at, and the perspective on it is wild, feel like I'm sliding down a slippery slope of mutating words!

yes an awesome image.. and talking about language, totally confusion on my part .. lived in 3 different parts of the world and forced to speak 3 totally different onces, sooooooo many words I learned that have a very different meaning these days.. Have you noticed how short my comments usually are.. ahahahahha

So this topic is not just on our minds as well? We (me and my husband) just had this discussion yesterday. I have to agree with you though! I have to say I am somewhat younger that some of you and I do not understand why this happens, but it does. What in the world is this world coming to? As for the image, it has great depth and it looks like it ooses. Fantastic work!

Here in New England we have always had issues with language. I grew up eating Heros, drinking tonic, and saying things were wicked cool. The other night I was introduced by a 24 year old as his "girl Bobbi". I don't remember getting the class ring! Very cool image, it brings to mund a library, my favorite place on Earth, ( or elsewhere!)
