Description

I needed a woven pentagram model for my character series, so I decided to make one myself. Granted this is not a very complex model but it was frustrating enough I thought I might as well show it. The hard part was not the weaving but rather simply getting a star shape in the first place! I'm sure some 3D program somewhere has one as a primitive, but I don't know about it. Actually I picked the points from a 5-sided "cylinder" and worked from there. The only thing I don't like about the way it turned out are the "dings" in the corners, but for my purposes, I can live with it. This was modeled in Hexagon and rendered in Carrara. Thanks for looking!

Making these is very tough.Very nicely done. 'Old Pentagram Trick':make a 10 sided disk, select 5 points, and shrink them equally till you have a nice pentagram.
