Description


Era: Late 19th Century (Steam Punk Timeline)Time: Early morning Location: The flight deck of an Albion Class SFM Carrier, South China Sea. Note: The above is supposed to be done in Digital sequencing with appropriate sounds as the letters come on the screen with some sort of background music/ambient sounds. But I had some troubles getting that part into picture. You have to do your own stuff there. :) The SFM (Steam Flying machine) is available from DAZ on their site and is done by Serrge. It's a little gem and I have not been able to come up with something as good to date. (No he did't pay me for this). Putting Vue 6 through the grinder here with multiple fog layers to achive the "LOOK",and a heavy load. It's doing pretty well, much more stable. Although I can't quite discern why the "you've used too much availble memory" pops up on what I think are simple renders. Yeah I know I've used over half the memory but still am not sure why. Additional: Vue all the way no post anything.

The rotors on the SFM look like those little "helicopters" that you mounted on a pylon and then pulled a string wound about a capstan(pulley) to launch as they came up to speed and generated lift. How do you know what scale they are is there a seat you can put the Poser figure into for rough scaling or is it "Poser ready." Overall this is cool but I would say it would have a wood plank deck as all the battleships and early carriers had them as they would soak up oil and blood better than painted iron. It really is a hassle to create an artificial era. Certainly, they don't need top hats or striped pants or even rear bibbed sailor suits to be costumed. Figures are very expensive in memory. I have been surprised recently at what is not. Grouping things really helps in composition and camera angles although no import/export scheme supports groups and they do cause positional and geometry errors due to I assume integer math and the general lack of precision in going from global (few) variables to local (many) variables. Scoop the scuppers! Ahoy! smoke on the horizon!!

Very fine work! (The people are better as my! I will make it better for future. I had to emphasize it so calm about the statement further. I didn't think this the figure so disturbs.)
