Description

This was a piece I did back in 2004 specifically for my first gallery show in St. Louis. (I'm currently working on a new piece that is taking some time :) Inspired by the huge and destructive Colorado "Hayman" Fire which ironically, was purposely started by a firefighter. This started as tree silhouettes and an inverted sunset in PS CS. I then imported this into Painter, and created the fire and smoke. Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend! Kurt

The subject that inspired you was a terrible one.....You've done a fantastic compo Kurt. Could come out from an ancient legend ! Fire burns out everything but life goes on and again............

I have bad memories with fire in my childhood, well nothing compared to this destructive fire you talk about, really impressive colours and I like this red/blue gradient, great work Kurt!

While the origin is tragic, the image is stunning. The spots of flame appear as though they are dancing. Some even appear as figures, maybe a fire spirit. This is magnificent, Kurt. Hugs, Suzanne
