Description
It's been a while since I got the chance to do anything abstract. I decided to have a go at writing some MEL, and ended up with a simple script to generate 10,000 (or any number) blocks with random heights.
The render is simply an ambient occlusion pass, done in mental ray.

Oh, come on--more people have to comment on a nice picture like this! Really, very good concept, kind of creeps me out. It could be the cover of a sci-fi novel.
