Description

Since V4.1 has been released, and I was in the middle of overhauling this character (Kaballah), this is probably the last image I'll be doing with this CR2. I still have some bad little glitches with the CR2 I'm working with: IK seems to be broken, and the morph dials occasionally just stop working. Plus I have been waiting for the muscle morphs for some time and would like to build them into my characters. This is one final image where the light was good to me. There is a background back there (DAZ cyclorama) but it didn't happen to get any light, so it appears black. That's neither intended nor accidental, it's just something that happened. Kaballah is V4 with customized DAZ V4 DAZ high-rez mats (freckles, lighter tone), wearing Aery_Soul's fabulous Liltsure hair, which I've had for many months but not taken the time to really use. Lighting is a few spots aimed low, and one aimed at her head. This isn't exactly a ground-breaking image, just showing her profile - which is likely to change a bit more with the new CR2 and things I do with it. The character is intended to be proto-Jewish, so I'm working on making her features look the part. This is kind of in the direction I want to take her. Morphing is all mine. Rendered in Poser 7, minor postwork to kill some stubborn nose glow. Enjoy :)

A bit muddy. Could up the contrast a little. Upper eye lid lashes are facing up as if the eye was open.

Personally, I like the adjustments that you have made to the Daz Skin, it definately has more POP than the original. Also, so far your custom character morph looks beautiful. As for lighting and all that, this image reminds me of some old pictures that were taken of my first family members that came to america decades ago. It's very much a rustic looking portrait and I happen to like that. All in all I find this image very appealing.

Excelent character and render. The one thing that stands out to me (and this will probably sound retarded) but the eyelashes. I've never had much success with mine either, but the curve of the lashes makes it seem like she is closing her eyes really tight when in reality the pose looks like they're simply just shut. Perhaps straightening the top lash a bit... dunno. Again, beautiful character. I can't wait to see her evolution. R

I like the character, particularly the frekles and the lines near the eye. I agree about the lashes, and also the hair line looks too thin. The lights, hair band and the character itself remind me of the painting "The girl with the pearl earing".

Excellent use of lighting along with the skin, has a very artistic photographic quality to it. I also like the facial morphs -- isn't it great what one can do with V4s nose?

Nice. I agree that it could do with a bit more contrast, but great looking character.

Very classical looking face..beautiful work. The face seems a bit too reddy, maybe a more fleshy colour or was this the desired effect?
