Description

I guess because i make Dynamic clothes or perhaps because I am always willing to answer questions I have been asked a few times how best to use Dynamic clothes when making a character sit. Feel free to download this picture for latter use and to email to friends or what ever, in other words feel free to spread it around. Shown in this picture is a 12 frame animation using V3 and my V3 Slinky Dress. I have found the best way to sit a character on a chair or on the ground is to first sit them in mid air (frames 1 to 8). Then slide the chair or object in under the character Frames 9 to 12). In the case of making the character sit on the ground I use the method shown above, I side a table or cube in ounder the character. When all the dynamics are caculated the character can be droped to the ground and the cube or table can be deleted. this will not effect the Dynamics (unless you decide to recaculate them). When sliding the object in under the charater make sure there is some space between the character and the object the character will be sitting on. This allows space for the cloth to move in while it is being posed. If ther is no space or not enough space the cloth will "catch" and buckle up. All of my dymanice cloths can be downloaded free here in the Renderosity Free Section. All will work in Poser 5 or later. These images done in Poser 7. Image Base Lighting "Clouds#3" by yesitis3 (though he doesn't know it yet...lol) I am working on a set of image based lights using Richards images. I have about 8 done so far that I am happy with.

This method works best if you have long flowing skirts and you want them to spread out on the ground or hang over a edge. For anyone who has not seen it you Poser 7 SR1 just came out I just downoaded it.

How about "Conforming Dresses and Skirts". I find that a lot of skirts don't get right(Miniskirts rather impossible to tweak.Longer skirts take a lot of time to tweak." on Sitting Legs (on Chair or Sofa-Coach). Working with Poser 6 and Poser 5 PC computer.
