Description
Illustration no.1 of the chapter 3 of my self authored fantasy book.
She is Inwe Ar-Feinel, a half elf and half human.
This is for my book illustration thesis
and even if I'm still somewhat a beginner in digital painting I decided to render digital. My thesis adviser tells me my work is ok and he especially likes the layout, but its also good to hear from others as well of what they think.
The painting is done first off with a rough sketch then painted in photoshop and painter.
Hope you like it. Gotta do 22 more illustrations to be finished by Jan.10.

It looks superb! I would only say a couple of things, as a layman at that. Inwe's left hand looks a bit small compared to the rest of her body. I realize it is behind her and a little farther back, but it looks a little small. Also, her left foot kind of looks like it is up and pointing in an unnatural angle. I have no reason behind this, but the ground kind of looks off kilter to me as well. I think that might just be a personal thought though. The characters don't seem to follow the lay (or angle) of the ground perfectly, and the texture looks a little too uniform. BUT, the colors are perfect!! Everyone's hair (esp the hair) and clothing are rendered absolutely awesome. The beast creatures fur is great. And I really like the wispy clouds up in the sky as well. Side note, were any of the characters based off of Final Fantasy characters? I ask because the man and woman on the left strongly remind me of Auron and Lulu from Final Fantasy X. Spectacular work though, please put all of your work here on Renderosity! Added to favorites!
