Description
Canon 50mm f1.8. Minimal post in photoshop.
This is the first proper outing of my 50mm outdoors for more than just 10 or so shots, and i am really impressed with it. The quality straight from the cam is great, this picture has only had a minor levels and brightness contrast done to it and it doesnt differ too much from the original anyway - unlike a lot of photos i have worked with.
Anyway - this is the first of the series of Raisin Weekend. Go check out the link for an explanation, but the summary is that people dress up and go and have a shaving foam fight in the university Quad. :)
More to come - i just liked this shot as the girl (i dont know her) was looking straight at me when i took it and it picks her out of the crowd. It also gives an overall flavour of the procession into the quad, so you know what is coming. I have some great shots to share in the coming few days, it was an interesting hour or so of shooting - and VERY cold! :)
Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Nice shot, we indeed see that lovely girl at first sight! but I don't like these university's traditions. these poor people will be lucky if they don't catch a pneumonia! Bizutage (that's how we call these practices) is forbidden in France since a few years.

Terrific top quality candid reportage shot. (wow, that is a mouthful) The sea of faces makes for a great scene but that one girl making eye contact with your camera makes this tops!
