Description

My first ever Vue pic, please be gentle. I'm really enjoying it so far but do have questions. If anyone is willing to answer the main one for me please. See the transparent area around my island? Is that from the material I used? (I know, lazy not to re-render but gosh, it took forever to get this far lol) Is there a very easy tutorial on how to do waves and the foam? I'd also love to learn how to do texturing so any links, throw em my way! Thanks!! I used a hdri atmosphere from Norbert G. (deadhead) and hi rez rocks from zxcvb. Everything else is from the program.

It's a nice start. I like the saturated colors. I hope you enjoy your Vue-ing as much as I do. I think the transparency is caused by the water material. You could test my theory out by making the island larger. There are tutorials for making foam and waves. You can find the links in the backroom of the Vue forum here at Renderosity.

I agree with sittingblue.....I rthink it comes from the white material used under the water....Lovely scene!
