Description

INSIDE THE PYRAMID OF KHAFRA. Giza, Egypt. Venturing into this Pyramid was not for the faint hearted, claustrophobic or for the asthma sufferer. It was a very small corridor which measured roughly 1.5 meters from floor to ceiling and equally 1.5m wall to wall, and was roughly 40 yards long. So with lots of tourist crammed in there in the Egyptian heat, all I can say was it was an experience. I was glad when i made it into the burial chamber as there was a little room to breathe. Fantastic photo under the circumstances. It's like being stuck in Alice In Wondeland's Rabbit Hole with a 6'4" cousin and laughing so hard that neither can move!!!! This is Great!!! HUGS!!

This is a different, interesting and even funny view on the pyramids... never saw it this way. Good you had your camera to set your mind to; when that claustrofobic feeling sets in, it's not funny at all..;-) I did some speleology in extremely narrow spaces with mud and water, I know the feeling...

Thank your for sharing this image and your experience with us. I love Egypt and would really like to visit one day. This image is fascinating and I'm so glad you've shown the less glamorous side to visiting the pyramids. Hope you at least found some enjoyment from it after navigating this corridor. Good perspective and a photograph that captures the moment perfectly.
