Description

Ok, this is the portrait I was working on when I took time out to do my Australia Day portrait yesterday. The skin texture is V3 Xtreme Close Up by Cake1 at DAZ with a slightly modified bump map, the face morphs are by me, and the hair is Kozaburo's Short Hair Evolution. I used four lights in this render. Two spots, one to the right and just right of centre, an infinite on the left for fill, and a blue spot high on the left to light the hair. The worst bit was trying to avoid the blue light affecting her skin colour. Also, I was playing around with the skin node in P5 to see what sort of effect it would have. I'm pretty happy with the result, what do you think?

Wow, Excellent render you got here.. love the eyes and face.. I do think the lights on her neck area are just a tid-bit to bright though...

The skin and morph are phantastic. A beautiful portrait! Just one small thing: in a real life photographer's studio, one would pose her sitting at an angle to the viewer, so that one shoulder is closer than the other.

You did a great job on this image; what did you do to get that soft look in her eyes?

Thanks all for the comments, I really appreciate it. Just to respond to a couple of points: @ odf - I did turn her a little, her right shoulder is slightly closer, so perhaps I should turn her a bit more @ Chippsyan - the eyes were done with an anisotropic specular on the corneas (creating the two hard reflections), and the rest of the eye was just touched up in Photoshop. Thanks again everyone for commenting.

Beautiful! Regarding the shoulder placement, pro photographers don't always angle the shoulders. It's one of those rules that can be broken as long as you know why you're doing it. A more direct stance is more powerful and agressive, if that's what you're going for. Very, very nice.
