Description

Well, the hut is still waiting for us but I start to lie down on the ground shooting this (controlled) glacier lake with the alpine willowherb (Epilobium fleischeri, closely related to the fireweeds you've seen before) in front of it. On the background you see the Turtmanngletscher (Turtmann Glacier). As you can see we have to go our way up to the left. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 28 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

I wonder if, after visiting those sublime places, you may suffer from claustrophobia

Figuring out where the paths go before arriving there is a fun adventure in prediction. As the glacier is approached they may become indistinct. This is big country.

Bellissima Jan-Carel ! That's really a dreamy photography for me ! Incredible the color of this lake, and so lovely with the flowers. This POV is a wonder. And with an enormous glacier behind... can we go to see it ?

Good Lord! Are you talking about that little square on the edge of that steep looking slope? Whew! No wonder you've had to lay down. But isn't it gorgeous up here! How high up are we? This might be a silly question... why is the lake that color?
