In the early 1980`s, TV studios were looking to cash in on the success of sci-fi movies such as Star Wars, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica. One such series was Star Quest, which featured a crew of space explorers on their quest through the stars. Unfortunately, the show aired on the VPC network, which, at the time, wasn`t available in many markets. When it aired, Star Quest got excellent reviews and was praised by critics. Many of the stories were excellent examples of science-fiction at its best: the crew tackled contemporary political issues in the science-fiction setting. The acting was on a level with that of other, more sophisticated dramas. At the time, magazines called it "one of the best shows on TV". However, many other magazines followed that statement with the words "... that you can`t watch." It wasn`t that people weren`t allowed to watch the show- VPC`s small market meant that very few people had the ability to watch the channel. Thinking people weren`t watching becaus
