Thank you so much for taking the time to model the Double Zero (Purple Car)!
An especially big thank you for providing it in Free Stuff here.
Excellent job!

Hi Garee - I think I saw it in FreeStuff here on Renderosity. Karl didn't post a link as far as I know.

Thread: Slider (lower scroll) won't move in PP2012 in Material Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had the lower slider in the material palette become unresponsive before. If I recall, I resized that window and put it back to where it was which made the lower scroll bar work again. That's with PoserPro 2012 on a Mac.
Hope that helps!

Hi guys,
Didn't find a model of the Mean Machine, but this person modelled it in Blender. Perhaps you could contact them?
Here's the youtube video of it:

Hope that helps!

Thread: new coupon | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I also received the "last call" email at 11:54 pm on 11/12/2010. There would have been all of 5 minutes to put something in my cart and make the order as the coupon expired at 11:59 pm that same day. I have put items in my cart, but will wait to see if we can get an extension on this coupon, given the very short notice on the email.
Thanks!!

Thread: Poser 8 not working and ruining my computer | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
NoelCan,
I'm using Poser 8 on a 2008 iMac. While I do have problems that are being fixed in SR1, I haven't seen the Internet slowdown that you've observed. However, I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.7.
Just to make sure there wasn't anything slowing down my Internet connection, I ran Activity Monitor and selected the network display. I also brought up the speed test page on Speakeasy.net. Next, I launched P8 and watched Activity Monitor for network utilization (didn't see anything). Then I ran the speed test on Speakeasy and got my full DSL bandwidth. I loaded some content into P8, started a render and repeated the speed test. Same full (normal) bandwidth results and no network activity except for the speed test.
I then opened P8's preferences and selected render in a separate process and repeated the tests again. I just can't repeat your experience on my Mac. Having said that, I haven't upgraded to Mac OS X 10.6.1 as you have. My results may vary if I were to upgrade to 10.6.1. Would you be willing to try the same sort of tests? Perhaps they would reveal a clue as to what's going on.
Thanks and take care! :)

Thread: Is it just me? Or is everyone hungry for the SR1 for Poser 8 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ted,
Thank you for the info. I had reported a few issues with the initial P8 release. John and I worked on them and I encouraged others with similar difficulties to report them as well (until I left on vacation.) It's great to hear that SR1 is very close to release. Thank you, the development team, beta testers and the support/sales teams for all the help... even when I've been frustrated. :)

Thread: Poser 8... First Impressions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is a donationware piece of software for the Mac that does the RSR to PNG conversion quite nicely. I used it on my 39.53 GB Runtime folder and it took care of everything in a few minutes.
The app is called RSRConv and can be found here:
http://braintrigger.com/software/RSRConv/
The only issue I had was the trademark symbol in the Poser folder name containing my primary runtime. Once I renamed the folder, the thumbnails appeared in the library.
Thread: OT: Poser 8 Digital Download, How Do you Destroy it for Refund for Smithmicro? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
josterD,
I also started the refund process this morning. This would be the first time I've ever gotten a refund for a piece of software and I've been using Poser since the very beginning.
However...
After speaking with John at Smith Micro's tech support, I've decided to postpone/cancel my refund. He believes that the upcoming service release will resolve my main problem (incomplete library folders in my external runtime). They have set my 30 days to get a refund as of today (instead of the day I bought it.)
I know it's frustrating to try to use it, but they do seem to be earnest in stabilizing the Mac version.
John (ratscloset) and Ted (bagginsbill) know their stuff and want to get the bugs squashed. John indicated the service release could be out prior to the end of the month.
If you decide on the refund, please check back after the service release and see how things have improved. I'll be happy to offer up my observations, good and/or bad.
Thanks and I do feel your pain! :)

Thread: Poser 8 and Poser 7 runtimes | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Well, not a great success here with Poser 8 and my Poser 7 downloads library/runtime. Most of it is missing and I have to search to find most items.. this is on a mac. I will raise a ticket with SM when I have time. I have removed and re-added to no avail.
Stevey3D,
Please submit a trouble ticket to SM if you haven't done so already. I have one with this very issue (also on a Mac.) John and the developer(s) are looking at the problem, but if you can send additional info to them, it may speed up the resolution of our problem.
Thanks so much!
Thread: Odd question - semitic curly hair? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Short Curls and Estio Curls are both at DAZ. I've been using the Short Curls hair for quite a while with good success on a variety of figures. I don't have Estio Curls, so I can't help much with that one.
I think I've seen other hair of this type in some of the other online merchants.
I hope our suggestions prove helpful! :)
