Cool I won something! Well, sort of;) Question - will I be able to buy the card set even tho I'm not attending the convention???

audre ( posted at 12:00AM Fri, 16 August 2002

hello there, winners won't need to purchase the set. Premier Printing has agreed to make sure that those winners who cannot attend the convention get their copy. just email them your name and address and they will make sure you get yours! congratulations! you can email them at: lisa.nelson@premierprinttech.com

Can other people get a copy of them without attending? L.

audre ( posted at 12:00AM Fri, 16 August 2002

you know i was thinking about that as i posted this article and thought it might be a nice idea to put any extras we have left over up into the marketplace for anyone who wanted to buy a set. . . not sure about this yet but we'll keep that in mind!

hmm audre, the images look horribly distorted and the compression is .. well ugg .. I assume this is just a promo for here and that the actual prints will be created from master files from the artists? I hope... BTW Congrasts to all!

the image in this article was extremely compressed in consideration of those folks on slow modems. :-) (you mean you can actually see those tiny images up there?? grin) the layout-for-print looks good. nice and crisp since the trading cards will be pretty small, (almost like a deck of cards small) making the images on them even smaller. . . 2.3 x 3.6 inches or so. yours looks fine. in fact they all do, or i would have emailed you asking for a different copy. however, if you want to email me a 'master' copy, feel free to, you can make it 900 pixels wide and i'll shrink to appropriate size -- but you need to get that to me quickly as the printer is waiting on this to get it into the job queue so it's ready for dragoncon. thanks! audre

This is good news ! I was wondering how I would get a copy as I am stuck here for that week. The whole set looks great. Congratulations to all.

Why would we be kidding? :-)

I appreciate the art, the idea of the convention, the poster even.. but trading cards.. it's just a tad... too much imo. just me.

glares at draculaz Hisssssss, booooooo! To each their own I guess ;)

audre ( posted at 12:00AM Mon, 19 August 2002

well, actually the trading cards were our way of trying to get as many members 'published' and 'out there' as possible. we figured it would be excellent for Renderosity to pass these out at the convention, great for the artists who are featured, and a nice momento of the con, for those folks who collect badges and things like trading cards. thanks

In my backward East-European way of thinking I don't consider them to be of much value. I guess I still have to learn about the Imperialist west ;) Good stuff anyway

The trading cards should go over very well Audre...being a con goer and organizer myself, I can tell you that people hover over the poster tables and snatch up everything that they can :) Good job!!!

Great job and congratulations to everyone. I was just wondering, on my screen it looks like there is a bunch of text hidden under the big picture. Is that the case? Is it just on my screen or is everyone's that way. The words "making the choice so difficult! Make sure you come to Dragon*Con to get YOUR poster!" poke out from under the picture but all the rest is hidden. Ray

OMG! I want a set and a poster! If would be nice if you sold the extras in the Marketplace. Thanks for being there for all your artists and giving all of us a place to shine!Keep up the good work!
