We congratulate podlovics for an outstanding collection of works in the Cinema 4D Gallery!

Who is 'podlovics' ?

Tamas Podlovics. Hungarian architect, 45. Father of 3 girls, living in Budapest.

How long have you been working in digital art?

Over 15 years.

Do you have any traditional art experience?

Not really, I sudied architecture at the Technical University of Budapest.

Evolution of a project

What are you currently working on?

Fortunately, I am full of work. Right now, I am doing multiple house interiors for an iterior designer, an animation for a lawsuit, a pharmacy interior, two house exteriors.  I do a lot of work for foreign clients, from: USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany. In December, I finished a bigger water-park for a US client, including a 3-minute HD movie.

What software is in your digital toolset besides C4D, and why?

None. I am using C4D with vray and very little postwork in Photoshop.

Why did Cinema 4D become your 3D tool of choice?

By chance. But, I am very satisfied with the price/performance ratio and the reliability of the software. I must also mention the excellent work of the vray for C4D developers from Vienna.

What do you think your best piece of work is and why?

Some of my best works are confidential, mostly casinos and themed parks in the US. I enjoyed them a lot. However, most of the images I posted on Renderosity are from projects that I enjoyed. That is the only way to create good things.

Do you have any tips you would be willing to share on the software you use?

I admire simplicity. I always try to find the simplest solution for any visualisation. Whenever possible, use textures indead of modelling. For this, vray's displacement maps are excellent.

How has this online community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning?

Renderosity helped me a lot. I got inspired by other people's work and it also brought me new contacts. Thank you Renderosity.

Do you have any parting comments, or advice for other artists?

Do only the things that you enjoy in life, don't work too much, do sports every day and eat healthy food :)

We invite you to have a further look at podlovics' Renderosity Gallery!

Artist of the Month is highlighting a talented Renderosity artist that has been nominated by mods and admins, and voted by the community. Recognition is given to this member for their collection of works for that year.

Since we only select one AOM per month, it is not about their works for that particular month. Instead, it is about highlighting a talented artist's works for that year, and they are recognized during that month.
