Out in the real world, we all have hobbies and interests in addition to the work we may be most known for. Here at Renderosity, our vendors have their own stories to tell. Things they do away from their products... special projects, awards, citations, or things of interest that most may not know about.
In an effort to better introduce our vendors to the rest of the community, we've asked them to tell us more about themselves, and share their stories. Rather than a straightforward interview, these are their stories, in their own words.
This week, we find out all about the artist and vendor best known to the community as BrokenWings.

Hi, my name is Beckie, better known on Renderosity as BrokenWings. I have been doing all kinds of art since I was a child. I grew up poor, so I didn't have doll houses and such, so at the age of 7, I made my own doll houses out of shoe boxes, with little windows and doors cut out. I took material and made curtains, bedding, couches and rugs. My friends liked my doll houses better then the real ones they had.
Growing up, I use to draw all the time and paint pictures to escape my childhood. All through school I majored in art and had hoped to be an art teacher one day, but life got in the way of that dream.
When I turned 27 years old, I got my first computer and first paint program. I loved doing 2D art on it and would spend hours just drawing and painting. Then I discovered Poser and my art world opened up even more. I learned how to texture and moved up to making outfits for my Poser toons. Then came buildings and scenes when I got Vue.
In 2008, I was commissioned by Zumaya Publications to do a book cover for Alan Chin. I was so excited and started working right away with Zumaya and Mr. Chin. They had found me on DeviantArt. After doing Mr. Chin's cover, I was asked to do a cover for Michael Just. I really enjoyed doing these two covers and would like to do more some day soon.
I am married to my soul mate of 27 years, and have two grown children. I also, now have 2 beautiful granddaughters, Ashtyn Grace 1 & 1/2 and Natalie Harper 3 weeks old. They are my everything!
I enjoy camping, boating and playing pool. I have been to the BCA Nationals in Vegas 4 times now and it was the time of my life every time.
I found Renderosity in May of 2003 and have uploaded over 407 images since. I have won two contests at Renderosity: the 2008 2D/Photography Holiday Contest and the "Photography Holiday Contest 2012: "Magical Holiday." I was so very honored to win!
The first picture is my first ever Poser image: (kinda bad)
