A Basic Technique for Achieving Photorealism Using PowerPoint

Using merely two elements of PowerPoint's drawing toolset, it is possible to create complex, even photorealistic, 2D renderings. This tutorial reverse-engineers a drawing done in PowerPoint to illustrate the use of the software's freeform drawing and oval tools to create the hawk and cloud formation in 'hawk ascending.'
