Vendor who started in 2010 with the highest revenue. We always welcome new faces to the MarketPlace, but it can be tough to become quickly successful in such a large market of professional vendors providing top quality products. exnem displayed the talent for quality content immediately, and we are proud to have them start up and immediately begin offering popular products in the MarketPlace.

Who is 'exnem' and how did you come by that username?

The real name is Israel Lizama. My nickname comes from when I was younger and had a rock band. The Band was called Nemesis and when the brand broke up, I took on the nickname Ex-Nem, which means ex nemesis. But as time went by it just became Exnem, which is the name that most people know me by now.

As to who am I? I'm the oldest of 12 brothers, I just turned 37 years old this month and I have loved all forms of art and science since I can remember. I'm a very proud husband and father of a beautiful girl.

I'm also well known in the gaming communtiy for the mods I've made for many games, especially The Sims and Elder Scrolls games.

Have you had any traditional art experience or training?

I'm mostly self taught, but art runs very thick in my family, so I have had art training all my life. I started with classic piano lessons when I was 3 years old and have been into computer graphics and art for more than 20 years now.

What are you currently working on?

Besides the work I do here at Renderosity, I have a couple of projects that involve some family and friends to make some digital 3D artwork for children.

What software is currently in your digital toolset and why?

The software I use the most for my kind of work are Photoshop, 3ds Max, Poser and an amazing but old program for warping and morphing called Elastic Reality. Why I use these programs, well, mainly cause they are the best options for my kind of work and I have used them since I can remember.

How would you describe your creative process?

To me it's the constant work that keeps me motivated and what gives me the input and ideas for my next projects. I'm not usually magically inspired like most people think happens when you are an artist. In my own personal experience, true art is 99% hard work and 1% inspiration.

I especially love your Super Duper Burger Pack. What a cool idea! Where do you find inspiration for your products, and do you have any particular favorites among the products you've created?

Haha, well, what can I say? One of my favorite pleasures in this life is good food, and I always said that if I wasn't an artist I would probably be a chef, which I just think is another art form really. So, in my years of 3D modeling, I have made hundreds of food models and I just wanted to bring some of that here just to see if people would like it, which turns out many people did, so I may be doing more of that in the future. As for my favorite products, I guess the Warrioress and Armored Witch outfits are some of my favorites.

How has your experience been as a Vendor and do you have any advice for other aspiring Digital Content Developers?

I think Renderosity is definitely a great place to sell my work and get exposure. The staff for the most part are very helpful and patient, I really like being here and being able to get some income from my work.

I think the advice I can give to other newcomers is to be patient and stick to whatever it is you do well.

How has this online Community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning?

It has definitely opened up new doors for me in terms of friendships and work relations. And it's also a great place to find information and learn from others. The forums are great and people in the forums are usually very helpful.

Do you have any final words or advice for other digital artists/vendors?

Yes. Keep working... Like I said before, true art is 99% work and 1% inspiration. I would like to take this chance to thank the people that have helped me while I have been here. Especially Jenn Blake for her patience and help with testing, Scooby for his help and friendship, RebelMommy for her help in making my first character injections and PhilC for his help in making handles for my models.
