Introducing the ArtMatic Community!

Renderosity would like to welcome the new ArtMatic Community members, which includes both ArtMatic Pro and ArtMatic Voyager users! Thanks to your requests, you now have an area devoted to the exploration and use of this new Mac product.

For those that are unfamiliar with this software, it was created by Eric Wenger, the creator of the original KPT Bryce, MetaSynth and ArtMatic Pro for use with the Mac OS.

This latest application, Artmatic Voyager, allows artists to create, explore and render stunning, photo-realistic 3D worlds with exquisite detail. It uses non-polygonal rendering techniques that allow huge worlds (several times larger than Earth) to be created from compact files. The simple, modeless user interface makes exploration and design both easy and fun.

ArtMatic Voyager can render both high-resolution images and animation. The large library of provided examples makes it easy to begin exploring right away, and the advanced tutorials provide instruction on using ArtMatic Pro to design new worlds from scratch.

Look for an In-depth Interview with Eric Wenger, "The Father of Bryce" in Issue 10 of the Renderosity Interactive Magazine where there will also be a complete Renderosity Review of the ArtMatic Voyager software.

To make it even more exciting, everyone will have a chance to win a copy of this software compliments of U&I Software who will be sponsoring the next RIM Cover Contest!

You can learn more about Eric Wenger on his homepage here at Renderosity and the ArtMatic Voyager website. Or, just drop on by the new ArtMatic Community and check it out for yourself!

Looks really really good, very impressive and good to see a Bryce like app that is not under the shelter of Corel ...Anyway I dont plan to buy a Mac in the near future...too expensive, especially in Oz..
I got burnt when Emagic went to the Mac...I guess I am addicted to all those VST instruments and plug ins for the PC...rather than Audio Units for the Mac.
Anyway it would be nice to see it on the PC Eric.
What sort of music do you play?
How do you find the time?
I struggle to do this and music as well.
Cheers

Very interesting. That would be nice to have some kind of Replacement for Bryce if Corel would end up with decision to finish Mac Bryce production.

artmatic for the PC would be a great idea give us brycers something new to play with.

I'll give up Bryce when they pry it from my cold, dead ... well, you get the point. ;)

Bryce is too cool of a tool to give up, I'm hopelessly hooked. Now if someone could pry it from the cold, dead hands of Corel ...

Thanks for Bryce Eric, you really helped open new doors for me.

very nice and impressive designs, but i feel home in the fractal gallery *smile* ... i use artmatic pro as a base to make my designs, the rest ie postwork is all with photoshop, illustrator, fireworks, freehand, painter or whatever ... gallery is at http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Yes&Artist=undisclosed%2Ddesigner

I went into the room containing my long asleep Mac, shaked some life into it, went online and purchased Voyager. Couldn't resist, have to eat only cheap soup for the next 14 days ;) I really look forward to get the software, can't wait.

Hi,
Artmatic Pro and Voyager both look very cool,
But I was wondering, does Artmatic Voyager have radiosity rendering?,can you export the entire scene for rendering in other applications, like lightwave for example?
Will there be a PC version?
Are there plans for trees,grass,plants,etc.?
If not can you import Xfrog foilage, trees, etc?
And can you import Either poser native,or .obj models,or lightwave models?
Is there a complete feature list that covers rendering, importing, exporting, etc?
Thanx,
Wade

Any chance of you and Ken getting together one last time? (ArtWorld or MojoMatic? The "Bryce 6" we wanted but never had?) Ehhh... Probably not, huh?
