"Comics
1-5 -- The Beginning" Programs used: Wings3D, Bryce5, PSP7,
Being a story based comic, here I present to Renderosity the first
five comics created in early April. Text boxes were simplistic, but
you'll see that the characters begin to develop and the concept
beings to shape. To the surprise of many, these are not rigged
characters. All the poses, characters, and props have been shaped
in the freeware polygonal modeler Wings3D. Texturing done in PSP7, and
final renders in Bryce4 (More recently Bryce5). All the slides are
generally post-worked for contrast.
This is the
progression of Spaztic as an early model. While the comics are
punch-line oriented, there is an ongoing storyline divided by
"chapters". Currently in the first chapter, I expected there to be
70-100 comics per chapter. More recently I've worked to rig the
characters, add muscle tones and more developed facial expressions.
New characters and worlds are constantly in the making. Creating
the classic Nintendo (NES), and posing the characters around it was
the key challenge in this first five works. Another, of course,
being the modeling of the Plastic Camel. Lighting is
done by shifting 5-6 lights with each camera shot. With that, I
hope you enjoy this exclusive, monthly Renderosity showing of
Spaztic Plastic! Feel free to email me any questions to glasko@glasko.com, and I'll be sure
to reply in a timely manner. Enjoy, they were made for the
community here to enjoy.
