Beautifull work and appreciate the image size - lots to see that would have been lost in a smaller render. Bravo.

Excellent scene, such effort put into this. The texturing and modelling is very good. I would love to see a wire of the scene! Might I ask if the background is image based or is it modelled too? A+

Thanks for all your comments! DeZ, good question! There's an old version of the wireframe here This is old with a different background, the trees are very close and the composition has changed. I'll upload a newer one soon when I get time to render it out.

The four blueish treetrunks in the background are meshes but the very distant details are from a heavily modified image. I didn't want to model all that! Anyway you'll see it soon. Hopefully I'll have a rough guide with images on my website soon. Hope that explains some of it!

I especially love the storytelling aspect. So much pulls you in...from the glowing eyes, the life that seems just inside the house, the ax so resently used. And to top it off you did all this in C4D! Please keep inspiring us...and I hope you submitted this to the Expose Book!
