| Another space scene. I really wanted to try and paint a decent nebula in photoshop and have been failing miserably for a while. This is the first one I'm really pleased with, so expect more in the future. Just need to work on more convicing planets now. Anyway thanks for looking, and don't be shy if you want to criticise cos I need the practice. Also replaced my website with a blog a lot less hassle and it's free. http://joevinton.blogspot.com/ |

by ExprssnImg on Nov 18, 2010 2:28:03 pm [homepage] Great stuff as always Joe. I wouldn't dream of criticizing, I've been following your stuff a long time. Yes, space doesn't ever look pretty without a good bit of interstellar gas across the way. I have a suggestion for them that might make it a bit more fun. I don't know if you've ever photographed the clouds before. It works best when they rest against a deep blue so you can easily key it out. Try to watch the sky/clouds for good shapes. Once you get a nice clean cloud, - put it into photoshop and give it some rainbow colors across some layers.
Nicely done scene with a great POV.
Great job on the space scene. Keep up the good work :-)
Sort of reminds me of fleet of worlds by Larry Niven and Edward Lerner. They have planetary drives and are moving 5 planets together in a rosette formation.
Wonderful work !! | |
