Hello, this is the last of the turquoise series for now ,Pendant was modeled in Cinema 4-D and rendered with AR3 . For those that are interested in jewelry design their are several grades of turquoise this one is "Ajax Natural turquoise" infused with copper and other natural minerals . Turquoise that is so hard and beautiful that it is simply mined, cut, polished and set into a piece of jewelry or carved into a fetish or sculpture. Less than 3% of all the turquoise on the market worldwide is natural. You may want to see a full size view . Thanks for taking a peek ! Regards , Michael. |

Stunning piece of work! I would totally buy that if I saw it in a store hehe.
Beautifully rendered and designed, is the texture of the stone procedural or based on a photograph? Top marks!
Very well done :) Awesome!
This image is stunning craftsmanship and the design a real work of art. My wife wants one for Xmas....it's kinda hard to have to tell her it isn't real!
Thank you for the wonderful comments on this , i do enjoy modeling these. And Mark at first i was using a procedural technique but was unhappy with the outcome , I later used a couple of aging texture maps then apply/paint it on with several layers in Body Paint.
You really nailed the photo-realism with this triptych Mike and you have another order, my mother also wants one ! Thanx for the turquoise info, very similar to the Australian opals. Well done & ~Cheers~
