| This is a work in progress. I just need to outline a few of the flowers on her kimono and then color it all in. I have an idea of the colors of everything, but if anyone has any suggestions Id love to hear them. | Details

Stunning !!! Very beautiful pencil drawing !!! Perfect artwork !!! 5***** Hugs:)
Very nice indeed... keep up the good work.
Such a skilfully drawn and lovely image. For what it's worth, my suggestion is to keep your colouring simple so as not to distract the eye from your line. Pastel shades would suit. Favourite
I fav'd this but didn't comment so let me comment now...I think I said somewhere that you have a good sense for composing your space, and this is another example. It really does feel like the drawing was made for its space. (See november22's work: He is masterful at filling high rectangular spaces. I can recommend others too...) But equally delicate is the flow of the torso and how the gown continues her lines, and the beautiful way you continue the piece's florals on her shoulders, not to mention that fire-like hair, which is beautiful. All of these show your sensitivity to organic form. I assume that's saki she's drinking, as there's an Oriental feel here (and the letters have some Oriental shapes to them, imitating the etched lines of the calligraphy-brush). For my part? I don't know if you even need all the wonderful rocks on the bottom—just my opinion, but they're fine enough to be a separate piece, and the woman & ground & sky & leaves are complete in themselves...But it does add another dimension, as you etched the stones very expressively. I agree with blooknok that subtle colors would be nice; but I'd imagine that the minute you start coloring, your inner eye will guide you. (You can always make b&w prints and try-out some choices)...Bottom line, there's magic & intimacy this, and genuine ease of expression.

Great concept work - looks like a very interesting fantasy... but that's love!
Beautiful scene. Seeing as it is about missing someone, I would keep the colors on a more solemn note. Wonderful start...look forward to seeing the finished piece.
