Work with threshing machines in the 30s.

Have spent a lot of time by modeling the objects for this picture.
But it was also very interesting to learn more about this old machines and the hard life on a farm at this time.

A little postwork on the bundle of grain in the right corner of the picture.

What a wonderful rendition, Helmut! So much fine detail and a great scene composition. Iparticularlylike theBaby in the foreground. Who needs (or can afford..?) a Kindergarten if there is a Kinderfeld ;)

Wonderful work! Reminds me a lot of my friends in Italy. I think there are still some of this kind of machines being used there :-)

I don't understand why so few comments about this superb picture!

I think that we are in Austria ( I see the Alps in the background ).
I'm fond of your pictures, you know that!!!!
You're a very good modeler and you know how to give us the feeling of life....with a lot of small points very interesting. I use any of your picts with my students to explain POV, poses, atmospheres, and so on.
