Description
When I was little I used to play cards with my father all the time. We would play Gin, Poker and Italian games like Scopa and Scala 40. As I got older my relationship with my father became a little strained, and it seemed like it was harder to make conversation. But we kept playing cards and somehow that was our own little way of keeping our bond strong and spending time together even when we found it hard to talk. When my two nephews came along he started playing with them too as soon as they were old enough and the legacy continued. They would spend hours playing and it always made me smile. I’m grateful that he took the time to play with me and then with his grandchildren. It’s the little things that make the fondest memories.

loosing my Dad was like Obi-Wan loosing qui Gan. He taught me what it means to be a real man and a friend in the latter years. So many wish they could have what me and my Dad had so I don't take it lightly. And I see the importance of a positive male figure in your life.
Forgive me, I could have sworn I had responded to this comment! You know, you are right, despite the arguments and bickering that we started having at one point I still have tons of good memories, especially during my childhood. But even when we were arguing I still knew I meant the world to him and he would have done anything for me. And that is something I don't take for granted either. I know people who didn't have that with their father and it certainly wasn't easy for them.
