Description
The bar is closing, there are only a few others left besides me. I put on my jacket and am about to leave when she starts singing again. Hm, I thought she had left with the rest of the band members. Well I can't leave just now then can I? I mean let's face it, the sole reason I have been coming to this bar for the past few months is just for her. Well ok, to be fair I've been coming here for years, but I never hang around more than necessary, if you know what I mean. So I ask Joe for one last beer. He tilts his head to the side and takes a deep breath, silently cursing me no doubt, but then takes a glance at the stage and with a smirk he puts a beer in front of me, shaking his head as he turns away. Yeah yeah, I know what he's thinking. And he's right, if she were any other woman she would have already warmed my bed a night or two before being forgotten. But she's not any other woman. Don't ask me how I know that, I just do. And I ain't my usual self, which means I've been hiding in the shadows instead of hitting on her like I normally would. The door slams shut as the last two people leave, but all I can hear is her angelic voice singing along to the music. This isn't her usual repertoire, but she could sing just about any genre. I am powerless to move as she looks straight at me, like she has done many times before. But this time is different isn't it? I knew it the minute she started singing this song. So I just stand there in a trance, soaking in every word she sings to me, my soul surrendering to her siren call, and I ain't in no hurry for her to finish because I already know..... tonight we're leaving together.

A fenomenal song that I adore, amazing story together with this scene. Oh yes, she's not any other woman and he knows it! Not somebody for a night or two at all... The "hiding in the shadows" of a man who truly is taken body and soul, like a true spell inside your system that wouldn't let you sleep at night, that would give you a true obsession about someone. Fenomenal once again! <3
Thank you so much, I loved reading your views on the story. I have no idea what happened, I was working on Francisco and the whole thing just "happened ". I keep saying that these characters have a mind of their own, lol!! Maybe I will do a render of the special lady too, and her side of the story, we'll see.
