Description
The instant he saw her, he decided she looked ridiculous.
Magic poured off her mane and splashed onto the worthless dirt like holy water. Green things grew there almost immediately, and he didn't like them. They weren't like the green things he remembered—the green things he missed.
She was in his territory and her presence made him uneasy. What if she came over this way? What if she wanted his treasure?
What was left of his heart sank to the pit of his stomach. What if she got near his treasure and put her Very Wrong Green Things on it?
He ground his teeth in revulsion then stomped on the ground to get her sparkling attention.

This was my February entry for the 12 month long calendar contest over on DaggerBay. Participants have to pick a theme and then do one image per month (so, not all at once but you have to make one image each month and submit it by the deadline, within the parameters of your theme). I decided to do a short story about a unicorn who ventures away from her home, told over a series of 12 illustrations. Eek!

12 Images a Year That Sounds Like a Job Especially if Each has to be the same theme and as Beautiful I am liking the Story a lot
Intriguing story!!! - I think the world outside of her realm is going to be interesting!!! The wraith is awesome and I love the look of the thickets and lifeless forest - it least until she shows up - lol!!! It's a beautiful contrast and you somehow made this lifeless forest beautiful with the lighting. It is transporting us into a truly magical realm!!!
