Description
Just an Apophysis again.
Thank you very much for your view, or leaving any words behind.
It can be I'm little present these days.
I wanted to make an effort in my powerlessness, and put aside all my (pain) medication.
Now I have terrible nightmares, and furthermore I don't want to bother you with my bold experiment.
Love to you all. :)

Prachtig ontwerp, mooie kleuren!!
Just love the colors!
This fractal has all the symptoms of a colourful dream/nightmares OK ! -- but it also looks complicated, perplexing and fascinating - my guess, it could be the medication ? golly - can I have some too ??? LOL
As a matter of fact, I have got it now - it reminds me of a movie, called : "V for VENDETTA", and the guy who wears the mask - which I can visualise in your image here ...
, yes, that's it !
take care and get better soon, please... BB
When I view these beauties...I visualize sting rays and other neon fish deep within our oceans. This is gorgeous ...the colors make it pop and give it wow factor...nicely done.
Wonderful fractal work Jacomina. I like the colors very much. Take care.
Very beautiful! Great work!
What a lovely fractal you have created. I hope you will have succes at last about decreasement of medication. Feel MUCH better soon, my friend.
Your pain and torment gives us a vision of almost excruciating beauty; I hate that you're so physically bothered, but I am astounded by the depths of your artistic interpretation. This is magnificent!
excellent abstract fractal composition, great colors
take care sweetie!
Oh! So beautiful! I am sorry to hear your medication-free experiment was not a success, but my dearest, we all love you no matter your condition. You may come and go as you please, medicated or not, happy or sad, and I will always be glad of your presence, even if I ache for your pain.
I wish you could have been with our group the other day. I went to a quilt show with my sewing friends (there were ten of us) and one of the quilts we saw was called "Fractal Blooms" (You can see a picture of the quilt on line ... here ... I found a link):

Anyway, the woman at the exhibit that was giving a talk said, "Does anyone here know what a fractal is?"
And of course I raised my hand, but I was the ONLY one in the room of about 30 people who had their hand up!!
So she said to me, "Is it okay if I just explain it the way the artist has it on her sheet here?" Well of course I said yes, because why should I care how she runs her presentation? LOL! Just because I know what a fractal is doesn't mean she needs my permission, right? :P
So she talked about the repeating pattern, a nicely simple explanation. Then she asked me, "How would you define a fractal?"
I said, "It's an infinitely receding pattern based on a mathematical projection." (Something like that, I can't remember my exact words.) A GASP went up from the crowd, and all my friends were astonished.
The next evening Bill was playing cards with some of my friends, and they were STILL talking about the fact that I knew what a fractal was! !!! Can you imagine? They would have thought YOU walked on water and performed other miracles if they saw your fractals. :) It reminded me that we live in a different world from most people, even though we all think we're all relatively normal.
:D
I can see so many different things in this layered fractal, very cool and the colour pallet works nicely with flow.
Hopefully your dreams will lighten up on you...otherwise you have to change channels...LOL :o)
~Cheers~
fabulous
well first of all, when you stop taking medications, I know that strange things can happen. The body reacts in all kinds of ways. So I can understand you're having nightmares. I hope it's not because you're in more pain. And btw, I haven't said anything about your flu yet, today, so let me say it here: I'm really sorry it lasted so long, and I hope it's getting better. Your immune system must be taxed and fatigued. I do wish you recovery, soon. And I hope your body adjusts to the lack of pain medication soon, too. You deserve peace and contentment.
As Denise said, you make beautiful art, even when you are in struggle and pain. This is like a collection of stunning sheets of fabric, mixed with jewels and colored glass. It's also like deep sea fish, esp the kind with translucent fins and bodies. ("doorschijnend," corrigeren? ja?) Your deep, saturated hues are beautiful, incl deep reds and blues; and also restful dark greens. And you have these "radiation" rays shooting through the water. And a lot of swirling energy lines. It's beautiful. It's as if you turned-on a light, inside the deep sea, and this is what you found. More beautiful fractal work from you, Jacomina.
I read Tara's comment, and yes, many people don't know what fractals are. I studied fractals in mathematics, years ago. (Long before fractal art software was invented.) I didn't understand it well, but yes, it's about infinitely receding patterns. What's amazing is that artists like you make such stunning art out of those mathematical principles. I've done 5 or 6 fractals, and I'll never know how you make such complex and deeply expressive art with fractals. This is a beautiful image, as are all your fractals. They're deep, beautiful and magical...
