Description

*Sky's closed, it won't open for my day. I feel like everyone's just ready to joke me, to hurt me, to laugh at what I am, to dismiss what I could be. The flowers never grow here the birds can't sing my songs... I am the mud. Still I don't wanna believe that there's not a piece of sky which could open for me, to let the sun caress my face, so pale, too pale, while all I'd like is to be taken, kissed by the sun, kissed by sweet lips, kissed by that care I'm not gonna give up to finally meet. But sky's closed and I am the mud. I hear the laughes, I hear the jokes... Too many faces, too many forces: you've dried my hopes like devil's morphings: takin one sweet glimpse of eyes into dreadful offsets, you're one, you're hundreds, you make my sky get doomed, you make my flowers looming. I hear the jokes, they make me cry... When's gonna happen that I'll get those smiles to clear my dark sky that hides sun's rayes?* ------------------------- Photoshop. Frome these sources. Thanx tattoedravengirl for givin me inspiration for the illustration of this poem. One hour and half work. ------------------------ The third piece of my series dedicated at illustrating my old poems written by 1996/1998. Again this is not meant to be a portrait, just a photoshop excercise. I wanted to give a framed, static expression to an doubting, turning into depression state of mind, still with certain colours to underline a no better defined hope still present in the frame, although very gloomed down by the unacceptance of the positivity of the self ... I also wanted to compose it in a bit of urban, graffiti-like touches, suggestin a sort of negative psychedelia turning into decorative fixicity.Basically the denying of the youth vitalism, through young codes. The mood is again low one. Which was common bread by my 19 (but luckely not anymore.. that's why I keep posting this series: look how negative I was, and imagine if I could findhappines back, evryone can :)) ;) So once more..."Enjoy" :)

I don't see either the poem or the picture so all negative. There is hope - the mind can't be captured:-)The poster kind expression shows variaty of those nasty notices of other people's behaviour. And inbetween there is light and hope, and some self-confidence too. The sky is open in the picture! The picture supports the poem - and vice versa. --- Brilliant work here, Meli.Love this style! ---Only one notice: typography pleases my eye, except the effect on the "I need smile":-) Let's smile:-)

I'm glad you're not feeling this way anymore...this is somewhat depressing. Technically your image is well crafted after the poem, however, it also has little hints of your more current moods in the little sparks of bright color that show you're not as negative as the poem might imply. Interesting...

Meli once again you have captured our hearts. This image and your poem really identifies with humanity. Your depth of realisation is so remarkable. A real gift from God! V :)

Cool color-combination. You've given the sources your own style, which makes it looking great. Corven

This is a very good work as always...like the whole universe is/was working against you(or maybe both ways) I can relate, and am happy this is past tense for you. :-)

I am glad the sky had opened to your day and the birds once again know your songs. Good use of "the mud" repetition in this image. The purple, violet, blue and aqua are innately festive to my eyes, yet you have managed to make them awkward and confused here - well done.

I know this kind of poems happens when you are in the right mood for them, "when the heart is full of emotions and forces the mind to let them flow out as words"... To accompany words spoken long ago seems very difficult for me...

I adore your poems my angel, and this one is no exception, you always manage to grab my attention, feeling as if you have written solely for me L That is a gift. The image that accompanies it suits the feelings portrayed so well and I feel as if its on a horrid subway train, graffiti making it all the more claustrophobic. Thank you so much for sharing this Meli HUGS
