Description
Here's an 'Akiapola'au, or "Aki" for short. It's a very endangered bird found around the base of Mauna Kea, Hawaii, above the 1500' level (above the mosquito line-- mosquitoes were introduced-- the birds have no defenses to the diseases they carry). There's around 1000 left in existence. You'll notice the lower bill is shorter than the top-- it's a specialized beak than allows the bird to hammer and drill into the wood and then spear insects with the top portion of the beak.
The background photo is from the Hakalau forest reserve I shot in September-- one of the last places you can see is amazing bird and of course, the bird is from my next SB ReMix package (still in the works), which will feature endangered, threatened and extinct birds.

very pretty birdie - excellent image!
Wonderful mood and realism. It's a wonderful idea to keep extinct and endangered species alive in Poser and other programs.
Beautiful render, and composition! Thank you for sharing! We definitely need to help keep those endangered species from being extinct, and you help with commemorate that when your image here. Hope you had a blessed Christmas filled with peace and love on Jesus' Birthday!!!! God Bless you!!!!!
