Makes me think of some Paul Klee drawings

Wat een leuke tekening, ik zie vooral beestjes,oogjes ,tentakels ,takjes , niet alledaagse plantjes . het grote hart zou een gezicht kunnen zijn ,ook zie ik rechts beneden een schattige uilenkop en daarboven de oranje krullende vormen die me aan de staart van een vis laten denken . Hoe meer ik kijk hoe meer mijn gedachte veranderd over wat ik zie .

I saw this as soon as you posted it. And I'm really happy to comment on it (4 days later!).

I agree, there is some Paul Klee in this. The intimacy of his figures, the delicate "close" feeling of your figures---like they're all family---the feeling of "dance," etc. But this, like your recently posted "Stamps," is pure 'you'.

I looked for the woman with orange curly hair---sorry, I couldn't find her! I must be blind tonight...I see several figures with orange hair, but not one with orange "curly" hair. There is a big set of "plumes" on the lower right---like a huge peacock's tail. But it looks like it belongs to a bird, not a woman. I'm sorry, Jacomina, I'm really dull-witted tonight! You can say, "how did you MISS it, Mark?" I really did miss it, lol. Sorry!

But you have all kinds of creatures in here...human, animal, imaginary, you name it. Bird-like creatures, cat-like creatures, etc. One creature looks like a cow or a dog (middle of the image on the right side). ANd so on. It's a kind of neighborhood chat, in the middle of the day, when everyone comes outside to say hello and see how everyone is doing. I see orange too---and deep yellow, and purple, and beige, etc. It's like a flowing little mini-universe---like a community you found inside a biological cell, with this little 'suburb' of life inside. And the shell-frame is the perfect thing to hold everyone inside.

Delightful, fascinating, filled with life, and it makes us want to get to know everyone inside it. You took your "inner camera", you looked inside this little key-hole, you took a snapshot, and---whoosh! You got this image. I love it!

How nice that you see a neighborhood community there, Mark. I like that idea, and now look at this (in my opinion, not a very successful) drawing very differently. Thank you so much!!! So indeed, they are having a meeting, and on the left is a figure with arms folded, that is a bossy neighbor, haha, maybe my mother. At the bottom is the cat that is also present, it is of course part of it, a pet, so. If you're looking for the lady with the orange hair, and I understand why you didn't see her, so just to reassure you, Mark, you don't need to go to the ophthalmologist. :)

I'll tell you, do you see a little heart on the cat's head, do you see it? above it is a small figure in blue, she has one eye, and with her arms she carries another member of the community; one who has chewing gum in his mouth and blows a bubble with it. On that small blue female figure you see, as you call it, a peacock tail, they are the orange curls of the small but strong (because she is carrying that bubble gum child) woman.

On top you see a face with very strange eyes, holding everything together. That will be the head of the community. ;-) I'm very thankfully for your words, dear friend!

Heel bijzonder fantasie werk , maar deze puzzel kan ik niet oplossen lieve Mies i!!

Haha, Die Etienne, nu heb ik een brede lach op mijn gezicht! Dankjewel voor je leuke reactie, en ik vermoed dat je al heel veel digitale 'puzzels' op hebt moeten lossen. :)

I always love your drawings, they are so free, expressive and colourful.

And the puzzle is very puzzling indeed as I think so many things can be seen in this, and be seen differently by everyone which I think is a beautiful part of this =)
