Because you are a friend of Chris, I looked at her gallery. Is the most recent image---the rabbit on a bicycle, riding past the coliseum---is that you? I translated your comment---it seemed like she did that for you. In any case, what a delightful image she made, and I saw several others, by her. A very sensitive and fine artist. (And if that rabbit is you, I love it! You on your bicycle. If you ever get lost, and suddenly find yourself at the Coliseum, I would get your bicycle fixed!)
This is a beautiful dedication to her. And a "get well soon" wish. The lower half of your fractal is almost like the chambers of a huge heart. And the whole landscape pulses with it. The left half has this blue flower-like image---blooming out of the deep round chambers. And the upper half has all kinds of blooming, bulging creatures sitting on top of each other, and interacting. It's almost a Cubist sky, with beautiful shading. (Your surfaces on top are beautifully shaded and modeled.)
The bottom half has these faint organic forms etched inside it---like 'whispers' of marine creatures, or organic creatures seen through a silk screen. I love how they swim in there, but are veiled by something...it's like they're behind a frosted-glass window.
The whole piece radiates with life, and it feels like a fractal valley, filled with fractal flowers and fruits, all pulsing and beating like a heart. Beautiful prayer for health and recovery. (I hope she recovers totally.)
(Btw, I love the expression---in Chris's comment---"Wat een mooie fractal". We don't have anything like "mooie" in English! I love that word. We have "beautiful" and "nice"...Deutsch has "schön"...but "mooie": What a great word! From now on I'll tell people "have a mooie day!" They'll think I'm crazy.) (Either that or they'll think I'm spanish ((muy = very)) ) A beautiful fractal, Jacomina. But then, all your fractals are beautiful.
