Description
When the Professora had sufficiently recovered her wits to ambulate, Madame Airi and Kim Su brought her forward to the pilot's station. "Well... my stars and garters!" the Professora exclaimed. "You have developed a means of propulsion and a method of gravitic maintenance within this craft. Although not happy about being abducted, I confess admiration for your technological triumph! Yon disk is clearly a planet... but I fail to recognize any continents. 'Tis not our Earth!"
"You gaze upon Venus, Professora," Madame Airi explained. "Our destination!"
"Have you abducted me to merely bear witness to your exploration, Airi? Of a certainty you needn't have gone to the trouble, I assure you. Would not some journalist have been a better choice?"
Madame Airi smiled darkly, "Ah! As to that..."
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 13.2.518 using the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine. Post work was done in Superfly (De-noising, Exposure, Spectral Bloom) and Photoshop (Sharpness, Vignette). The male minions are all based upon M4, the female minion and the Professora upon V4 and Madame Airi is based upon La Femme 2 Pro. The setting is the Steampunk Spaceship by BlueTreeStudio and Coflek-Gnorg's space sphere.
Professora Marguerite Fotenmann is a character I have used before and is based on a role I have played in Second Life. She is a linguist, historian, biologist and mechanical engineer; your basic genius. Kidnapping her could not have been an easy task for Madame Airi and her minions as she is usually surrounded by her team of protectors and assistants.

Most of the praise should go to Stuart at Blue Tree Studios; his content is wonderful with very little tweaking of materials. I'm glad you think the lighting works, Rod. Very nice composition and POV - lets the characters shine without one dominating the other. First thing i did was blow it up on fullscreen to see who was driving the thing and there he was - a bot pilot. Didn't think that one would get by ya :)
One thing I wondered when playing with the ship is if they have some sort of shield to protect so much glass. Venus is inside the asteroid belt, but one litltle zinger...also wondered about the grill below the greenhouse camopy. Could be some sort of steampunky energy intake? Coolant intake for the engine? If the later, it would only work on temperatiure as there would be no rush of air...
Steampunk's glory is trying to figure out how the stuff is supposed to work and then saying "Fudge it. It's steampunk" :)

My major problem with a vessel like this one is there's no place to store fuel... or store anything, really. >.< But I figure... well.... "Fudge it!, etc!" ;-) It's such a lovely piece of content, I just went with it. If pressed, I'd say that Madame Airi has mastered electromagnetic flux in the aether and that such mastery has produced coils in the ship's hull that protect it and enable it to move even though it has little apparent room to store fuel. What does it use for fuel? Steam produced by the combustion of handwavium! XD

Thank you! BlueTreeStudio's content is wonderful and with just a tad of retexturing looks great with the Superfly rendering engine. Of course, I really love the characters I've cobbled together, too. =)
