Max meowed inquisitively and my model turned her back on me to investigate the source of the noise. "Oh! So cute kitteh!" she exclaimed. "All good to pet for a moment, yes?"
"Sure, if Max wants some attention he'll not give up until you give him some!" I replied as I waited patiently for my chance to continue the photo shoot.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 13.2.518 using the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine. Some post work was done in Superfly (denoising) and Photoshop (clarity of color, very subtle vignette). Terai Yuki 2, the digital idol, was made available for Poser around 15 or 20 years ago. She is based on the digital idol created by Ken-ichi Kutsugi about 15 years ago. She was available at Content Paradise and I thought was still available here at Renderosity but I don't find her here. 😥 She looked pretty good rendering with no tweaking but I used Ken1171_design's skin editor and she looked even better. I also retextured her hair and used Go Physical! on her clothing. In all, the tweaking took me less than 15 minutes and you can judge the results yourself.😉
I have always liked the character and she is the basis for a villain in a long running detective story I have at Deviant Art.

Dand moolz you keep getting more blood out of old stones. That's not easy, and it's proof that some of theol der assets still have a lot of charm. Genesis 9 and Poser's more recent equivalents are striking, and AI seems to be the trend, but hard work (or play) and classics still yeild classy results.
AI.... yeah. I've never been good with trends, I guess. XD
As for the use of legacy material? It's one of the chief strengths of Poser that old material needs little or no tweaking to look great. Of course, I love all the new stuff, too. I'm fond of East Asian appearance and Terai Yuki has a delightful, kawaii look about her. I had a lot of fun with her as a villain in one of my stories at Deviant Art playing her sweet appearance against a very dark nature.

Heh. I love hearing from you, even when you get the fat finger on keyboard syndrome. ;-) In Second Life, where typing rapidly can become a real problem there were those who claimed my typos constituted a new language: Mollynesian. XD

Thank you for your kind encouragement, LP. I've played with AI a bit and I don't get much satisfaction from it. It doesn't feel to me like I'm making a picture so much as commissioning someone else to make the picture. I LIKE the feeling of making... =/

Oh yes! Our little feline friends know just what they want all the time. It is just sometimes we weak and intellectually limited humans don't always understand what they are telling us! Thanks for the entertaining comment, Rad! XD As for Terai Yuki and her wardrobe, I really think she is another of the legacy bits of Poser content that has never gotten the love she deserves. I do love the "60's mod" outfit, too; it came with the original figure which is no longer available, it seems. =)

I love the effect that is happening with the mirror here! The reflective repetition really makes this work.
Thank you, Amanda! The mirror is a great prop included with Afrodite-Ohki's level up product. I did have to alter the glass texture slightly to make it more reflective but I've had fun with it and a lot of the pictures I've shared. =)

Very nice image, Molly. One cannot go wrong with Terai Yuki and a cat in the same scene :-) I like Terai Yuki 2 a lot. Sadly, I do not own her and she doesn't seem to be available anywhere. I Hope She will be back on sale here or somewhere else. Does anyone know if she has ever been part of some Poser's version default content?

TY2 might have been included with Poser at sometime in the past... I inherited my library from my husband who lost interest in the software and it was this inherited library I found her. I asked him and he said he thought she used to be available at Content Paradise which is long gone. Online searching suggests she is available at a Japanese site called E-Frontier (he says E-Frontier used to "own" Poser before Smith Micro who "owned" Poser when I first started messing with it).
She is "light weight" and renders well in Superfly with very little tweaking of her textures.
Sorry I don't know more. =(

I know about E-Frontier, but unluckily their store used to sell Terai Yuki (along with Near*Me) until 2024... https://web.archive.org/web/20221202022454/http://efrontier.shop14.makeshop.jp/shopbrand/ct10/ But now that store doesn't work anymore The store was in Japanese only, and though I understand some, it was quite complicated so I did not buy her.
