As a fan that uses the 'excellent' comment way too much (i am sorry), I have to say excellent it seems,

I see spots, I see dice, 7 spots 5 and 4 dice on one and then a domino on the other pic with in. And one dog that may be named spot. The scene plays tricks on me and that is cool.

As to comment counts, some brother me because the work is so-so but I feel bad for not commenting and the lack I see on some artwork brothers me because I find them amazing and so much better than anything I do.

I like the gentle humour in this! I remember posting a lot of images and not getting many views or comments early in my rendering history, and being told that to get more "likes" you have to like and comment on others, which as you say, is playing some sort of daft game. And I know you've been at this for many years as I have followed you for a long time. I'm sure that Leonardo Da Vinci didn't become popular because he "liked" a lot of other people! (Not that I'm comparing either of our art to him, but you get the point). I guess it's just the way things are - you either play the game or decide that it doesn't matter and when you get likes and comments, they are at least more sincere.

Thanx a lot for your comment..I believe that something changed here and when I started here it was different and let´s say "more honest". Sometimes it's just a little frustrating and I think it's a shame that some who I think take really good pictures just don't get noticed.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and i can understand your frustration, there is no definition of beauty or art.. it's what you see, why do you need the comments...in the first place..? i do my art / images for myself...and to please myself and to improve my understanding and skillset, if someone likes what i do its a bonus.....that's it....

In a nutshell...really does it matter how many comments, likes, favourites the image gets.. long as your happy with the end result and willing to out it into the public domain...the rest insubstantial....

I agree with you: everyone has a different idea of what a "good" picture is. I'm just annoyed that I have the feeling that there is no objectivity anymore...

As for the comments & likes: you don't have to howl with the wolves. Or you can try to be specific, and critical. Cause an excellent is nice, but doesn't help you to improve. However, some artists don't take criticism too well, so the "excellent" is a safe way of at least some appreciation.

Personally I encourage fair criticism, and neither a like nor a follow grants the same in return But I look at artist's pages if I don't know them.

The breed of dog is like a pun on the missing collections.

An interesting progres in the scene but seeing the colors of the dog, It doesn't look like rolling dice at all.. Nice, very nice!

Looking through your gallery, this image jumped out at me. The dalmatian drawn towards the painting that looks closest to his own coat. Reminds me how we all are drawn to art that speaks to us in some way or another.

Your description underneath is also interesting. It is sad to see some do follow a like for like thing just for the sake of it, but I think it is nice if people have true interest in your work and that artists support each other. Is this commentary the philosophy behind this dalmatian image though?
