So nice to see someone using light correctly... my opinion, never show everything. Never light everything. Treat your images like fiction; leave blank spaces and facts uncovered so the reader/viewer can fill in with their own experiences which personalizes the moment for them (unless they're dead from neck up) and allows them to almost become part of the image. In writing its the same thing.. you never TELL the reader what's up, you show them with sight, action, and dialogue. It gives the reader their own "spawn point" so to speak, into the scene. It can be done with Daz and all images too. Light isn't ubiquitous, it has a direction and it bounces. use it. As in this image.
