Description

"...And there he was." La Femme is astonished to find someone else in "her" Runtime :D I made that little purse on the floor! I still need to scale it properly; when it loads, it's big enough to swallow La Femme :D I have clothes for L' Homme but I haven't installed them yet. (Looks embarrassed) La Femme's pretty hair is by 3Dream-- Amor hair

He's acting like he thinks he's someone's eye-candy. She's thinking, 'oh no you're not!'

Great scene. I see that the dress as settled down.

It has! I can get one simulation per file, apparently, but I can work with that :D

The key to scaling is to import a Poser figure .obj file from your Runtime into your modelling program, ensuring scaling is off when you import, then use it to size items that you model. You also have to make sure scaling is off when you export from the modeller in some cases. Not all modelling programs scale anything on export, but check yours to make sure.

Some possible extra info, depending upon your modeller.

  1. Some programs don't scale on import or export so nothing to do but import the Poser figure and use it as a scale reference.

  2. Some programs not only won't scale anything on import or export but they also have a scale wildly different from Poser, AND they won't work well at Poser scale. Just pick a scale value that's easy to remember manually, like 10 or 100, and then when you import the Poser figure multiply it or divide it by that number. You have to remember to perform the reverse scaling operation before export, but at least you can work.

  3. If your modeller works in real world measurements Victoria 4 is 5 feet 10 inches tall according to DAZ, so import her and scale her to that size before using her as a reference. 5 feet 10 inches is 1.887 Meters (1887mm or 188.7cm) in case your modelling program only works in metric (some do).

Hope that's helpful!

It does help! It looks like things need to be taken down to 10%, and then they are about right. Thanks for the long, useful answer!

I bet she's glad her dress's "wardrobe malfunction" has been cured, so now she can concentrate on what to do with this new boy toy!

I think she just accepts that my runtime is full of oddball things. There is a Tavrohk that wanders around, too, nibbling things :D

Poor girl... First it's a major 'wardrobe malfunction' and now this.... Looks like this dude doesn't even have a wardrobe to malfunction.. Well at least her dress is behaving itself today.... At least he could get off the couch and cook dinner... 😆

Fun and well done, Lynn!
