I love how you welcome new members (or members you just met), with images. A wonderful habit...Well, even though the woman is a warrior who looks at us with genuine warning, you've created an almost serene scene behind her. In fact, your lighting and choice of landscape elements make this a 'primal' scene, like something from the first days of life. It's because of your very primal ground, the bony trees and branches, that vast sea in back, and the dawn-colored clouds. This woman is protecting a very mysterious landscape. And I love the two stairwells---one on either side. She's apparently protecting two homes in addition to the bighorns. (And that owl definitely is telling us, "don't get too close, people!") Delightfully done, Ute.
