The year is 2095 CE. In this future world, we have discovered a drug that can move our consciousness into another
plane. The drug is used in conjunction with a set of dolls and other artifacts which are marketed under the commercial
name Playtime. In this place/state of mind, people live within the dolls just as if they were in the "real" world.
However, it isn't the physical plane and so the rules are bent and discarded without much thought about the backlash of
such actions.
Here we find Sally sitting in her bedroom... alone with two of her dolls which she had found in a very compromising
position. The male doll is one that belongs to her husband Greg. The other however isn't Sally's avatar. It belongs
to Mary Jane, the couples 18 year old neighbor. In this new world the rules have changed, and most would agree that
the new ways do not always lead to a happily ever after story. The new morality begs the question "If the deed is
done in an alternate world where nothing is truly "real", can it be held against you in the physical world"?
It would seem the pain is just as real... but what about the consequences?

Lovely version of the original. I like the color, and it highlights the emotion, but of course b&w gives the emotion a darker depth. Nice work! OXOXOXOXO Jane
I already commented on the B&W, but I want to say more here because I could have gone paragraphs long on the other. What I didn't say on the B&W, is that the name for "the game" you came up with is beyond fantastic and the concept itself is absolutely titillating and mind-shattering in the possibilities! Gotta' say, I would absolutely love that and become completely immersed in it. Fortunately -- or sadly -- I have no emotional connection to anyone within reach of my physical self. Tremendous, my friend. My mind was on fire before. Now my hair is burning too. LOL! :)

I like both images. the B&W one is super creepy, but this one feels more "real" and that is a whole other level of creepy. good job on both!

An interesting comparison of the two images. They both are powerful, but I think the black & white one communicates the starkness and emotion better.

Great and powerful image, the expression and pose are very well done and I like the idea ... In a way, such a world already exists ... through drugs, antidepressants, games, books ... most of us are trying to escape from real life ;-)

So powerful and just eerie to think about! You truly have a writer's imagination, Seth! Fantastic render here. This is just so far beyond the usual, expression, the manipulation of sizes, pose, light, use of darkness. Everything composes a image that won't leave my mind easily!

Excellent and provocative image. Great concept and some thoughts to chew on. Personally, in this concept, the reality is wherever the mind is and if two people knowingly engage in actions against or hiding from another/others, even in a virtual world, there ARE consequences. Excellent image and render.
