Description
The year is 2095 CE. In this future world, we have discovered a drug that can move our consciousness into another
plane. The drug is used in conjunction with a set of dolls and other artifacts which are marketed under the commercial
name Playtime. In this place/state of mind, people live within the dolls just as if they were in the "real" world.
However, it isn't the physical plane and so the rules are bent and discarded without much thought about the backlash of
such actions.
Here we find Sally sitting in her bedroom... alone with two of her dolls which she had found in a very compromising
position. The male doll is one that belongs to her husband Greg. The other however isn't Sally's avatar. It belongs
to Mary Jane, the couples 18 year old neighbor. In this new world the rules have changed, and most would agree that
the new ways do not always lead to a happily ever after story. The new morality begs the question "If the deed is
done in an alternate world where nothing is truly "real", can it be held against you in the physical world"?
It would seem the pain is just as real... but what about the consequences?

I apologize for not commenting very much lately... I seem to have lost something of myself lately. The drive to do much of anything has vanished for the most part. Thank you for looking at my posts. I do understand you Seth, live is not always so joyfull.....i have the same problem the last couple of months i create but i dont like it anny more. Take your time Seth, maybe that will help. I'm at the moment in a very down mood, because this month it's 7 years ago that i lost my son who whas only 21 years old......we had a very bad time at the moment and i can not forget what whas happend. Just one word: WOW. This is an amazing picture and the story is wonderful science fiction. I just love the emotion in this, which you perfectly portrayed by the expression on her face....pure horror, pure pain. And a great reflection of a society caught up in the Internet...where what seems pure fantasy online can be quite real in the "really real world". Such a moment as this one has played out over and over with the same kind of pain. I just love the story and the use of the dolls that represent the fantasy of the cyber world. Most excellent....I hope you will find inspiration again because your art is too good to deny. OXOXOOXOXO Jane

Pretty wild Idea and probably not all that far from a truth, can't be good though, there's enough Sociopaths out there already I think something like that would just push the borderline cases right over the edge into full blown Psycos, Doubt the Gov would go for it, least not until the Mind Control Nanobots in the water supply gig is operational.....Cool work man, the B/W version is creepier but this is a rare case I like the colored version better for some reason. and in this world we can play GOD and demand from our own. and sometimes the demands are more than they or we can handle and then there is the breakdown. At what point do we as GOD destroy our PlayTime? and is it truly destroyed? Powerful image and great question for heavy thinking

Great image :) I like both, the black and white is more scary for me ;) I am not sure if i understand all what you wrote, but to make pictures should be fun and if you have no inspiration at the moment so you have to cool down :) and relax, no worry about anything about it. The Inspiration will come back, i am sure :) You will be a artist forever :)
