French Quarter
This guy saw me taking pictures and posed for this shot ... twice ... and we arranged the whole thing with nothing but hand signals and blown kisses. I was down on the sidewalk and across the street, so it was a short-lived, long-distance friendship, but he seemed to enjoy it as much as I did. :)

A peacenik, I see (or does that V mean something else down south?). Have never made it to New Orleans, but the ornate grillwork, orange sherbert colored wall & peeling paint fit my mental image of what it may be like. Hope you're enjoying that Creole & Cajun cuisine while you're down there...

lol, kismet! The person next to him is also acknowledging you too. I'd pay to hear the first guy tell his wife (or husband) "I"m leaving you for a photographer---we met this morning, sorry..." It's a great connection across time and space, and the shot is, by nature, busy: where all the human activity is through that lace railing. That must be how a lot of things feel in the French Quarter. I love the orange facade behind him, too. And because of your angle, the tables are seen from underneath, as well as the sky behind being absent of any buildings. A sweet shot of a sweet moment. And that orange really dominates the shot. (I'm jealous of all you're seeing! Looking forward to seeing the blog.)
