Description
I had posted a "A Tribute to Brittany Jane Royal" before where a young girl Brittany and her boyfriend Bo had plans to make their home in Kalapana on the lava fields that I had walked so many times before. They both were missing in May 2013. Luckily, a fisherman found her and the police reported that she was strangled. The boyfriend Bo was missing. Police found skin tissue of Brittany being dragged on the lava rocks to the ocean and later found a trail to a small kipuka (forest area) where Bo's backpack, ID's, knife and cellphone with DNA evidence was found. Also, a person had called Bo 2 hours after the fisherman found Brittany's body to find out if they were ok. Stupidly, Bo answered his cell phone with his DNA left on the phone. He said they were ok. With this info, the police listed Bo as suspect and dangerous. Bo was no where to be found until Jan 2014 where some one found his decomposed body hanging from a tree. Bo also left a 3 page confession note that he killed Brittany because of an argument and had planned to commit suicide. Case solved! Brittany was pregnant and her unborn child was to be named 'IO.....which is a Hawaiian word for the Hawaiian Hawk. It is so wrong that domestic violence took the lives of Brittany and her unborn child 'IO. Prayers to them and the family.... Rest in Peace Brittany and 'IO. Aloha

Well it looks like somebody might have gotten there revenge if he did not do this to his self i hope they checked the rope for others dna but what ever the case it is very sad to hear all this i just sometimes wonder how people in this world today can do such horrid acts like this.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute. I also add my sympathies for Bo and his family and friends as well as that of Brittany and IO. It was a tragedy for all concerned that young lives were lost. May the memories of them remain and lessons be learned that might help prevent domestic violence by others.
